To all Employees:

Dress Code

1. It is advised that you come to work dressed according to your salary. If we see you wearing Prada shoes and carrying a Gucci bag, we assume you are doing well financially and therefore do not need a pay raise.

2. If you dress poorly, you need to learn to manage your money better, so that you may buy nicer clothes, and therefore you do not need a pay raise.

3. If you dress just right, you are right where you need to be and therefore you do not need a pay raise.

Sick Days

We will no longer accept a doctor's certificate as proof of sickness. If you are able to go to the doctor, you are able to come to work.

Holiday Days

Each employee will receive 104 personal days a year. They are called Saturday & Sunday.

Compassionate Leave

This is no excuse for missing work. There is nothing you can do for dead friends, relatives or co-workers. Every effort should be made to have non-employees attend to the arrangements. In rare cases where employee involvement is necessary, the funeral should be scheduled in the late afternoon. We will be glad to allow you to work through your lunch hour and subsequently leave one hour early.

Toilet Use

1. Entirely too much time is being spent in the toilet. There is now astrict three-minute time limit in the cubicles.

2. At the end of three minutes, an alarm will sound, the toilet paper-roll will retract, the cubicle door will open, and your picture will be taken.

3. After your second offence, your picture will be posted on the company notice board under the "Chronic Offenders" category.

4. Anyone caught smiling in the picture will be sanctioned under the company's mental health policy.

Lunch Break

1. Skinny people get 30 minutes for lunch, as they need to eat more so that they can look healthy.

2. Normal size people get 15 minutes for lunch to get a balanced meal to maintain their average figure.

3. Chubby people get 5 minutes for lunch, because that's all the time needed to drink a Slim-Fast.

Came to work at 8.30am this morning & wait for Ate Vangie. There's a Teachers' Assembly (Mini-Exhibition for schools) at MOE today and it starts at 9.00am. Ate Vangie came at 8.35am while I was arranging the stuff needed to bring there.

It's around 8.45am when we leave the office. We closed the school first, as per Kuya Jonn's. He called us while we're on the way. When we arrived at the MOE, Kuya Jonn meet us and we headed to the assembly hall. There were only a few people there, the rest is yet to come - I guess. Seems like the phrase "Early bird, catches the early worm" doesn't apply anymore to anyone.

There are no table for us when we arrived, so we spend couple of minutes there standing while Kuya Jonn look for the person he'd spoken to, or just about anyone who knows where our table was. Then a lady came, apparently the one who spoke to Kuya Jonn, and lead us to our table.

After that, I have to go back to school to re-open it. And here I am, just summing up what just happened couple of hours ago. Pretty boring entry, but who's reading?...

I'm sore all over *sigh*  Why?...

Here's why...

Yesterday, we moved the big metal cabinet from 1st floor to ground floor. Then carried also 2 computer tables (medium size). Pauline, Ate Vangie, Me & Ate Lyn (Cleaner) were the ones who brought it down.

Yeah, noticed that we are all ladies?... Well, the reason why we are flexing our muscles and doing strenous stuff such as carrying cabinet & computer tables instead of drying our nails (as if!) & sitting-pretty on our designated places typing whatchamacallit, is because the only 2 male-colleagues (Kuya Jonn & Kuya Jomar - one of the lecturers) we have are on their leave. They went back to Philippines.

Kuya Jonn told me last Saturday before we all went back to move the cabinet from 1st floor to Ground floor, so we can use it at the frontcounter. He said it's better coz it has more shelves & space to put all the stuff in there. Then he went back to Philippines that afternoon (or was it nite?).. Kuya Jomar went back also. They will come back here after next week.

Weird timing for them to go back to Philippines at this time, esp. the classes will already start next week, and this week we have orientation for new intakes. They have ample time to get the leave 2 weeks before when there are no classes and the students are just having examinations but they have to chose to take the "leave" when the 2nd semester is about to begin! jeeezz!!!

Ok, back to moving suff. After we brought down the big cabinet, we rearrange it here at the frontcounter; and so on process, we took out some of the stuff (boxes, documents, trays, etc.) here and put it on other places first. We removed couple of computer tables as well to give room for the big cabinet.

Then after that, they go... leaving me to put it all back to place! Ate Lyn stay for a lil while to clean, then I put & arranged again all the stuff we took out when we were moving tables & cabinet.

After everything's done. I did my usual reports.

This morning, Ate Vangie & Pauline went to ICDL awarding (BITEX Exhibition) to get the certificate. Then later, they will go to one of the schools here that invited Computer Schools at their place to promote courses. We're one of the schools who participate there. They will be there the whole afternoon. Only me & Eliza (one of the lecturers) are here in school, and without the usual uproar of the students the school is now in deaf-silence! *sigh*
